The Goals of Our Internship Program
The main purpose for our internship program is to offer low cost and free services to the community to make a stronger impact across the economic spectrum. We partner with school systems to meet the needs of students who otherwise would not have access to services. Another one of our purposes is to impact the field by developing systemic minded therapist who learn how to interact with this profession in a sustainable way. A fringe benefit that we did not seek when we created the internship program, but is one we find tremendous value in is the way interns impact our culture at Larch. The eagerness to learn, and the depth of system thinking that happens while you are engaging in your programs help us stay developmentally “young”. Your learning and early development questioning reminds us to think and not become complacent in our work.
